Combining Powerful Visuals with Concise Information
Project Goal
We were challenged with creating a concept to depict the issues that online fraud poses to telcom businesses and the solution to these issues. Using an abstract render approach, we prepared over 60 seconds of dynamic, informative, and eye-catching animation to explain the services of Comarch Fraud Protection.
Background
Comarch is a globally leading software provider with over 30 years of market experience. They deliver, manage, and integrate IT products for B2B clients. Their field of expertise covers a variety of industries, from AI, cloud solutions and telecoms to retail and cybersecurity. This has enabled them to become a market leader, providing advanced IT solutions for their clients.
Comarch Fraud Protection can be utilized by a multitude of large-scale companies, assisting to combat issues such as money laundering, abuse of loyalty programs and cyber threats. What differentiates Comarch from its competitors is the use of AI and machine learning to create models that help to detect fraudulent activity. We were tasked with creating an animation to showcase these functions in an easy-to-follow yet hard-hitting way.
Creative Concept
The plot within this animation conceptualizes a spherical object travelling through a complex digital world, signifying the many routes companies can be at risk from fraud. The color scheme consists of colors that emphasize the digital nature of the fraudulent activity which companies face. Smooth, convex shapes and futuristic gradients match perfectly the chosen style in a captivating and dynamic way.
Animation
In animation, we wanted to achieve as much depth as possible. All the elements were designed in Adobe Illustrator with specific aspects and then remodeled in Cinema4D to allow the smooth flow of the camera and object's rotations in 3D. Both techniques were stylized in the same manner to remain coherent and fluid, enabling immersion within the story. Editing, compositing, and additional animations were completed in After Effects. The sphere, which in this instance is the protagonist of the storyline, reacts to the changes of position and speed by rotating around the axis. To simplify things, we utilized After Effects with the CC Sphere effect where values were parented to the controllers in the main composition, thus allowing easy adjustments to movement. Additionally, fluids inside the animation received their own additional slider to enable as much control over the visuals of the sphere as possible.
Sound
For the voice-over, we decided on a mature, authoritative voice to instill a sense of experience and protection, thus instilling the trustworthy nature of Comarch with the viewer. Music was composed for the animation to fit the individual sections of the narrative, building tension as the video progression to further enable the immersion of the viewer.
Result
We created a captivating and informative video, which instilled the serious nature of fraud with the viewer whilst also promoting the benefits Comarch Fraud Protection offer.
